Wedding with a Scottish flavour in St. Andrew’s

On Monday 29th July 2019 we in St. Andrew’s were delighted to welcome Margaret (Maggie) Jenkins and James (Junior) McCash to the church for their wedding.

With St. Andrew being the patron saint of Scotland, it was fitting that Maggie and Junior, both of whom hail from there, chose a Scottish theme for their wedding.

Both the groom and the best man, James’ brother John, chose to wear the kilt and proudly stood against the heat, and Maggie, not to be outdone, wore a beautiful strapless gown.

The Acting Chaplain, the Revd Michael Graham, conducted the ceremony while the Revd Martin Phillips-Last, Chaplain of Ammochostos, acted as Registrar. To complete the clerical line-up the Dean of St. Paul’s Cathedral, Nicosia, the Very Revd Jeremy Crocker, was the organist.

We wish every blessing to  Maggie and Junior as they begin their married life together.
