It was wonderful to welcome Bishop Michael Lewis back to St. Andrew’s yesterday – and to hear another of his very thought-provoking sermons.
Bishop Michael preached to a full house, including visitors from many parts of the world. It was a privilege to worship and share fellowship with such a warm and diverse group of people.
We are honoured that Bishop Michael, former Bishop of the Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf and Archbishop of the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East, will be preaching at St. Andrew’s this Sunday 29th September.
This will be Bishop Michael’s first visit to St. Andrew’s since his retirement in June 2023 and we very much look forward to welcoming him back to our church.

Following her very successful exhibition, of art by her students and herself, at Girne Halk Kütüphane (Kyrenia Public Library) back in June, Elina Petrosian has very kindly donated this beautiful painting to St Andrew’s.

On Sunday 15th August Ariele’s was baptised into the Church at St Andrew’s, Kyrenia.
It was a wonderful and joyous occasion for everyone and a pleasure to welcome Ariele, her family and friends to our church.
We wish her every Blessing on her journey through life.
Many congratulations to Dr Nwoye Kabilsen – more often known to us by his middle name ‘Sunday’ – our Hall Manager and Sidesperson.
Over the summer, Sunday was awarded his PhD in Applied Psychology.
The topic of his thesis was
‘Exposure to Trauma, Hopelessness, Gender as Predictors of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and Depression amongst Veterans in South-East region of Nigeria.’
We warmly wish Sunday every success in his future career.

Geraldine and Werner have contributed so much to the life of our church over the years – and continue to do so to this day.
